Lee Katherine Ayerhart, MHA, CMPE – Director of Client Services

As Director of Client Services, Lee Katherine manages the front-end and client-facing revenue cycle processes within MSOC Health’s internal operations. She works closely with all MSOC team members to ensure high-quality output and identify opportunities to streamline operations with a strong focus on iterative process improvement. Her goal is to maintain efficient, standardized processes while still providing first-class, personalized service to MSOC Health’s diverse client base.

Lee Katherine developed an interest in practice management during her five years working as an administrative assistant at Innsbrook Primary Care, a newly opened three-provider division of Virginia Physicians, Inc. in Richmond, VA. From taking patient phone calls and performing EKGs to designing workflows for a new EHR go-live, she provided support in all areas of clinical operations and experienced first-hand both the challenges and rewards of operating a small, independent practice.

In addition to her passion for supporting physician-owned practices, her professional interests include design thinking, organizational behavior, and lean management approaches to business process improvement. She speaks regularly on these topics to professional organizations in the healthcare industry.

Lee Katherine Ayerhart earned her Masters in Healthcare Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill, and she has a BA in Psychology with a minor in Public Health from The George Washington University. She has achieved board certification (CMPE) from the American College of Medical Practice Executives and is an active member of the North Carolina Medical Group Management Association, serving as Student Outreach Chair and as a member of the Medicaid Committee.
